< Previous40 Business Link www.blmforum.net AUTOLINK Audi A5 Audi is opening the next chapter in its successful history in the mid-size segment with the new A5 family. Even at first glance, the completely redesigned A5 family has a powerful and clean design. The modified proportions with a long wheelbase, large wheels and the low, sporty body embody progressive dynamism and premium standards. In the Saloon, the sporty, compact-looking greenhouse stretches to the rear in a sweeping arc, flows seamlessly into the shallow rear window in a coupé-like manner, and ends at the visually short tailgate with a striking spoiler lip. The design of the interior of the new Audi A5 is based on four characteristic features. Firstly, the interior has a human- centric design, i.e., it is consistently geared towards the needs of its users. The second special feature is the Digital Stage that establishes itself in clear view of the driver and front passenger in the form of the Audi MMI displays. With its Material Driven Design, the Audi A5 meets the requirement for a generous sense of space with a high level of comfort. The clear layout and easy operation of the interior provide an overview in all situations to form the fourth feature: Visual Clarity. Added to this is the optional dynamic interaction light (standard on S5) to support the car’s interaction with the occupants. Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ The AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine in the 450 kW (612 hp) configuration ensures superior propulsion. It delivers 20 kW (27 hp) more than in the AMG GT 63, and the engine experts in Affalterbach have increased the maximum torque by 50 Nm to 850 Nm for even more powerful acceleration. This increase in performance was achieved by adapting the engine control unit. The AMG GT 63 PRO impresses with its overall performance, especially at higher speeds. The lightweight AMG Performance 21-inch forged wheels in cross-spoke design are painted exclusively in Himalaya grey. In the UK the AMG GT 63 PRO is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R Cup tyres in sizes 295/30 ZR 21 at the front and 305/30 ZR 21 at the rear. The standard AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre package with front splitter, trim strips in the side sills, diffuser and rear wing in high-quality carbon fibre emphasises the connection to motorsport. Black-painted brake callipers, AMG Performance seats with high lateral Keeping Your Business Moving Hire, Service & Repairs Commercial Trailer Specialists in Stallingborough, Grimsby Audi A5www.blmforum.net Business Link 41 AUTOLINK support and an AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather/MICROCUT microfibre are also included as standard. Hyndai IONIQ 5 The new IONIQ 5 features exterior upgrades with new 19” and 20” alloy wheel designs, refreshed front and rear bumpers, redesigned front LED V-garnish, extended rear spoiler, rear wiper for increased visibility and slim Digital Side Mirrors (DSM). Two additional exterior paint colours have been added to the range, with Meta Blue Pearl and the free of charge Ultimate Red giving a total of 11 colour options. New IONIQ 5 also now features a standard battery heating system, battery pre-conditioning and heat pump across the range. Complementing the updated exterior, the new interior layout features a sliding centre console with physical climate and heated seat buttons, pixel design door armrests, auto-dimming digital centre mirror, refreshed seat design and upholstery. A new dark surround for the dual 12.3” audio, visual and navigation system and drivers instrument cluster reduces reflection. Unit 3, Woodside Park, Station Road, Tetney, Grimsby. Though the classic auto reply may consist of a note saying the individual is away and when they will be back, a new standard has now been set by a brave and creative employee. With an out of office email simply requesting “please refer to the attached video,” the marketing team member has gone viral online for his unique choice, in which the clip initially features a plane with text stating “I’m out of office,” followed by some wonderfully tacky graphics and the employee saying: “If you’re watching this, I’m probably on a plane to Europe right now. Here are some answers to some frequently asked questions. Number one, when will I be back?” From this question he quickly cuts away before cheekily adding: “Two if you’re a recruiter my personal email is… and three, for urgent inquiries send me an email and I’ll look at it when I get back.” The video concludes with delightfully nostalgic commercial music and the text, “We’ll be right back.” While Frazer feels very much inspired by this new take on the out of office message, he is slightly horrified that a 22 MB file has been sent from this employee in response to every email he received while on holiday! And finally The world of Frazer 46 Business Link www.blmforum.net An unpunctual generation As Frazer gets older and new generations enter the workplace, it seems more and more people are becoming obsessed with the differences between how Gen Z, Millennials, Baby Boomers etc. act at work. A fresh piece of research to come across the desk continues this trend, highlighting a disparity over tardiness, with Gen Z staff apparently believing that showing up 10 minutes late to the office is equivalent to being on time. The study from online meeting company Meeting Canary indicates that nearly half of those aged 16 to 26 believe being between five and 10 minutes late is as good as being punctual. This tolerance, however, decreases with age. While around 40% of millennials noted that they will forgive colleagues for running 10 minutes late, 70% of baby boomers expressed zero tolerance for lateness.. © stock.adobe.com/ViDi Studio © stock.adobe.com/BullRun Tortoise troubles Frazer has heard a multitude of excuses for arriving late to work, or not returning home on time, but a recent incident marks a first! While the chaos of last month’s global IT outage disrupted many people’s commutes, a concurrent event caused more delays for some: the slow movements of Solomon. Solomon the tortoise somehow managed to escape his home and climb on to train tracks, halting journeys after being spotted by a train driver. Having to be removed by engineers to a position of safety, the reptile boarded a train himself before being set down on a platform. Fortunately, Frazer hears Solomon wasn’t charged a penalty fare for not holding a valid ticket. © stock.adobe.com/JeromeMauriceBy coming together we offer much more...
