Beverley MP steps down from Ministerial post

Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart is stepping down from the role of Minister for Energy Security and Net Zero, which he has held since 2016, though he’s staying on as the MP for his East Yorkshire constituency.

He said: “Having served as a Minister for most of the last eight years I have decided to stand down. I intend to continue serving my constituents in East Yorkshire, and look forward to fighting and winning the seat later this year.

Prime Minister Rushi Sunak said: “Graham has been a dedicated Minister and have helped this country lead the way in developing clean, green and secure sources of energy, playing a crucial role in making sure that this country and its industries are well prepared for the growth opportunities that the energy transition will provide.”
