A management buyout has completed at Powerlite Fitzgerald Ltd, a Yorkshire-based lighting manufacturer.
With the deal, two family members and two directors will take over the reins at the 38-year-old company.
The MBO includes former sales manager Haydn Williams and technical director Chris Thompson, who after many years in the business along with Pollyanna and Jemima Robinson, daughters of the founder Nick Robinson, are the new team in charge of the business. Nick Robinson will continue in the business to hand the reigns over to the new team.
Founded in 1984 by Nick Robinson and his wife Beverley, Powerlite Fitzgerald has grown into a market leader in commercial lighting products. The business has two factories in the UK and prides itself on its range of products and capabilities in producing bespoke products for companies throughout the UK.
With over 60,000 sq ft of production and warehouse space the business employs over 80 staff. It has advanced production facilities for both metal work and LED boards. Sustainability and low product miles enhance its green credentials.
