Bank of England Governor to speak at Hull & Humber Chamber

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey will speak to Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce members about the UK and global economy at a breakfast meeting at Hull’s Grange Park Hotel.

On Friday April 8th Mr Bailey will answer questions on the future direction of British and global economic policy following the Covid-19 Pandemic and now in the face of the war in Ukraine.

Before becoming Governor, Andrew Bailey was Deputy Governor of the Bank from 2013 to 2016 and served as Chief Executive of the Financial Conduct Authority from July 2016 before becoming Governor.

Born in 1959, Andrew studied at Queen’s College, Cambridge, gaining a bachelors degree in History and a PHD from the same department. The event starts at 8am, and booking is via a link sent out to Chamber members
